“If you write poetry, you should write poetry that’s close to the people. If you create art, you should use it in a public way so as to be close to the hearts of the people, and they will propel you to do more.” That is how Ammar Abo Bakr, born in 1980, explains the driving force in his artistic work. With his art he seeks dialogue with people and that has taken him out of the studio to work in public space.
