Ninna Berger works with the apocalyptic dimension of climate change, adheres to the essence of the threats we face and imagines the consequences for the individual. Do we need to find new systems for a common ethics that we can apply universally and which all follow? Or is our assumption that spirituality will solve the challenge a false conclusion? Can change really happen by reading, theorizing, talking?

Ninna Berger lives and works in Stockholm. In 2018 she was almost two months in Norrbotten to participate in the network Swedish Lapland’s artist residence. She has a Master’s Degree in Art from Konstfack.

The materials are important mediators in her practical creation, where the composition may become fragmented in different layers both in her texts as well as in the physical works.
